Creating Effective Surveys | February 26th OR 27th, 2014

Do you want to know what your students really think about your language course, beyond their responses on the FCQ? Have you tried a new technique or tool this semester and want to get their opinion?

In this workshop we will address the dos and don'ts of creating online surveys. Then, we will have a hands-on session to learn two technologies you can use for gathering data from your students, Qualtrics and Google Forms.

Flipped Language Tutorials with Camtasia Studio | February 12th OR 13th 2014

Next week is the second workshop of the semester for ALTEC's Foreign Language Technology Program. The workshop is on Flipped Language Tutorials using a technology called Camtasia Studio.

What is flipping? The flipped classroom is a teaching model in which, what we typically do in the classroom (e.g. instruction) is done at home, while the practice is done in the classroom.

Come to learn how to use Camtasia Studio to create flipped grammar and vocabulary tutorials that your students can use for personalized learning in the online environment.

** ALTEC has purchased Camtasia Studio licenses and has them installed in our PC lab, thus there is no need to bring your own device for this workshop! Do please bring a
